Does Bumble Show Active Users?

Bumble used to let you see when someone youd matched with last used the app. This is because, on Bumble and other swipe-based sites, the “last active” data ended up contributing to some stalking-type behavior. For example, people were able to tell when their matches were ignoring them due to read receipts.

Not everyone is comfortable with sharing their app activity with everyone, so Bumble decided to remove this feature. When you look through your matches, theres no way to know how long its been since they were on Bumble, unless they give it away by sending you a message.

How to See if Someone is Active

Unfortunately, you wont get a flashing bright sign that says “this user is online now!” But, if youre seeing a profile that means the user has been active in the last 30 days. You can deduce that when someone shows up in your stack, theyve likely used the app recently.
