Якщо все піде за планом, то ракета стартує в період між 15.30 і 17.30 за київським часом. Якщо місія “Артеміда-1″пройде за планом, NASA планує запустити аналогічну місію, відому як “Артеміда-2”, але вже з астронавтами на борту. А в рамках фінальної місії, “Артеміда-3”, планується висадка американських астронавтів на поверхню Місяця. Ракета виведе в космос безпілотну капсулу “Оріон”, яка повинна досягти Місяць, облетіти його та повернутися на Землю. У SpaceX хочуть використовувати ракети за аналогією з комерційними авіаперельотами.
